Bring your babes and friends and head over to New Seasons Market at Cedar Hills Crossing to support pregnant and breastfeeding moms and meet some of the Latch On America team. An amazing array of Oregon employers, breastfeeding support organizations, and local businesses will grow us!
- The Latch On America Documentary Crew will be learning about different women's experiences with breastfeeding, while focusing on the Surgeon General's Call to Action #14 ("Ensure that employers establish and maintain comprehensive, high-quality lactation support programs for their employees") by visiting a cross-section of workplaces that accommodate breastfeeding moms.
Oregon's US Senator Jeff Merkley is a true leader in workplace lactation legislation, which passed first in Oregon and then on the federal level. In fact, he announced his bid for US Senate at a breastfeeding meeting and his first campaign promise was to elevate workplace protections for breastfeeding mothers to the national level. Thank you, Senator Merkley for being the champion for families our country needs.
